“The film opens with a little girl and her father walking through the lush vegetation on the slope of a small valley in the mountains. The rich colors set a pattern for everything in this area from the flowers around the house to the paint on the busses, is pleasing to the eye. The father shows the girl which berries to pick, for not all berries ripen at the same time. After some berries are picked the scene shifts back to the kitchen where the mother is preparing a meal. The daughter feeds wood into the stove and she watches the mother carefully. The midday meal includes fried banana, meat, rice, black banes, and Yucca roots. The mother also prepares a stew of beef and tomatoes which will be eaten for supper”
