XD86565 SINO-SOVIET RELATIONS FOOTAGE CHAIRMAN MAO, NIKITA KHRUSHCHEV, STALIN USSR / CHINA

This untitled, documentary film (c.1960s) is composed of a mix of color and black-and-white archival newsreel footage documenting Sino-Soviet Relations after World War II. The film depicts Mao Zedong alongside Soviet leaders like Stalin and Nikita Khrushchev for political meetings, treaty singing, and spectacles like the 10th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China Parade on Beijing’s Tiananmen Square, however, the footage is not chronological. China–Soviet Union relations, refers to the diplomatic relationship between China (both the Chinese Republic of 1912–1949 and the People’s Republic of China) and the various forms of Soviet Power which emerged from the Russian Revolution of 1917 to 1991, when the Soviet Union ceased to exist.
