“The Dating Scene” is the second edition of the film “Dating Do’s and Don’ts” which was produced in 1949. This film is an instructional film that was designed for American high schools, to teach adolescents basic dating skills. It was produced by Coronet Instructional Films which was a leading producer and distributor of many American documentary shorts shown in public schools from 1934 – 1997. It was directed by J. William Walker with the assistance of educational collaborator, William M. Smith, Jr., Ph.D. who was Professor of Family Relationships at Pennsylvania State University.
