Please note: The tobacco epidemic is one of the biggest public health threats the world has ever faced, killing more than 8 million people a year, including around 1.2 million deaths from exposure to second-hand smoke. All forms of tobacco are harmful, and there is no safe level of exposure to tobacco. Cigarette smoking is the most common form of tobacco use worldwide. Other tobacco products include waterpipe tobacco, various smokeless tobacco products, cigars, cigarillos, roll-your-own tobacco, pipe tobacco, bidis and kreteks.

“Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco” (1943) is a black-and-white promotional film featuring musical performances by Kay Kyser and Frank Sinatra. Made for Lucky Strike Cigarettes, the film presents two live musical performances – one by Frank Sinatra singing “Stardust” and the other of Kay Kyser leading a live band and singers in “Ma, He’s Makin’ Eyes At Me.” The film also sheds light on the cigarette production process from the tobacco auction house to the Lucky Strike factory in Richmond, Virginia while the narrator repeats the tagline “Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco So Round So Firm So Fully Packed.”
