This educational film is presented by Stephen Bosustow Productions. It tells the story of heroin addicts Alvin and Marilyn. Alvin spent time in and out of prison, where he first tried heroin and began his journey with addiction. Marilyn had been institutionalized in a rehabilitation center to fight her heroin addiction. The film is written and directed by Al Coombes, narrated by Burt Lancaster, with music by John Manning, camera by Tom Bramigan, editing by Robert Berk and Joe Mayer, and sound by Jim Webb and Harvey Gail.

Alvin is sitting on a street corner (15:46). A gas station during nighttime (16:09). The cash register (16:22). Alvin gets arrested by police after robbing the gas station (16:29). A prison (17:15).
