XD80685 “MEN OF TOMORROW” 1942 BRITISH PROPAGANDA FILM BOYS SCOUTS SERVICE DURING WWII

This 1942 film produced by the British Ministry of Information looks at the contributions of the Boy Scouts to the war effort. It begins with a mother scolding two boys for coming back quite dirty and they explain all the things the Scouts have been doing. This includes putting out fires, carrying off the wounded, supporting in agriculture, looking for scrap, looking out for ships and aircraft, various construction duties, and supporting fire brigades. The film highlights that everyone can help the war effort and that the Scouts can fulfill useful roles, particularly in places where manpower is short, like in agriculture.
