XD80134 “ WOMEN AT WORK ” 1963 INTERVIEWS CONCERNING WOMEN’S PARTICIPATION IN THE LABOR FORCE

This 1963 film isn’t complete, but offers some insight into the changing role of women in early 1960s America. The film consists of a series of interviews conducted with different people weighing in on women’s participation in the labor force. It includes interviews with experts such as a university professor, a labor market analyst, and an employee of Pennsylvania’s State Employment Service. It also includes interviews with regular people such as two working woman, a homemaker, and reverend. The film is interjected with footage of women working in different roles.
