XD7984 UFA WWII German Newsreel 518 (?) Operation Barbarossa German V for Victory program

WWII German SOF newsreel, UFA. Has a whole segment showing off V for Victory signs, apparently this was a well known German slogan: “V=Victory because Germany wins on all fronts.” The Nazis tried to turn things around and used the V as a sign that the German battle was going very well. There were banners and posters in the streets with the text: ‘V=Victory because Germany wins for Europe on all fronts. V signs are shown in Paris and elsewhere.

Other segments include German Navy in the Baltic sinking enemy vessels, German Army driving towards Moscow, many Soviet prisoners of different ethnic extraction.
