Produced by Eastman Teaching Films, Inc. of Rochester, NY this silent educational film titled “Denmark” highlights various aspects of Danish life in the 1930s. The tinted, black and white film opens with Denmark’s dairy and agricultural industries, which at the time, formed 80% of the country’s exports. The film then goes on to depict Denmark’s thriving and esteemed chocolate and porcelain production – something for which the country is still famous today. Lastly, this film highlights different ways of life and various architectural wonders such as castles from the nation’s bustling capital in Copenhagen to the quiet Medieval town of Odense.
