XD55764 MONOJECT DISPOSABLE STERILE NEEDLE & SYRINGE SYSTEM PROMOTIONAL & NURSE TRAINING FILM

This safety and informational film was intended to train nurses or hospital staff of the correct procedures for using the Monoject injection system using the sterile platform technique. A nurse demonstrates the handling and disposal of the syringe, with an emphasis of safety and sanitation. Monoject needles (which are still in use today) are needle-based safety devices that protect the healthcare worker from accidental needlestick injuries. The easy one-handed design and robust safety shield of the Monoject Syringe ensure the clinician is protected against any exposures from sharps injury.

She breaks a new syringe using the platform this time. She snaps a third syringe. The locked green drawer is opened. She twists a new plastic tube breaking the heat seal, ensuring the sterility of the syringe inside. Close up of needle cartridge (5:33). She twists the cap. The needle is attached to the syringe and the sheath is pulled off. It is returned to the platform. She injects the patient and breaks the contaminated syringe. It is placed in the contamination box.
