This travelogue is a silent film portraying family vacation activities in sunny Florida, such as fishing, enjoying the beach, waterskiing, etc. The film was made in 1946 as part of a travelogue series titled “Picturelogues” by Norman Schley. The films weren’t originally silent and were usually narrated by creator Norman Schley.

A small boat sails out of the harbor (08:49). Footage from around the Biltmore Dock (09:01). A family boards a motorboat to go on a fishing trip (09:43). They attach bait to fishing lines and release them into the water (11:36). They sail towards birds flying in the sky in search of fish to catch (12:49). One boat passenger throws small fish into the sky to feed the birds (13:49). The motorboat returns to shore, and two men carry a large Swordfish off the boat and hang it on the pier (15:12). At the beach people are bathing and enjoying the sun (16:27). A Spring training baseball game is played at a stadium (19:30). Blooming orange trees (20:06). Bok Tower Gardens with colored glass windows stands surrounded by greenery (20:54). Palm trees growing in water (22:19). Colorful floral bushes (23:11). A girl, dressed in a floral dress, is strolling down paved trails through a scenic bit of the Everglades at Cypress Gardens (23:28). Close-ups of a white and a pink flower (24:48). A small bridge crosses a stream inside an idyllic forest (25:13). Two men are waterskiing as they are pulled behind a speedboat (25:21). Glass bottom boats are lined up along the pier, as one sails allowing passengers to see into the ocean through the glass bottom, while enjoying the rich scenery above the surface (25:54). Sand paths, sunny blue skies, and palm trees create an exotic environment on land (28:00). Underwater footage of fish, sharks, turtles, and stingrays depicting a diverse ocean life (28:49). A man wearing a wetsuit is standing in shallow waters surrounded by fish and sharks at Marine Studios (29:37). An audience is watching a dolphin show (29:51). In St. Augustine at the “Oldest House” museum (31:13). A blue car is making its journey through desert and forest roads (31:55). A woman signs a “Bank of America” traveler’s check (32:21). The film is concluded as the blue car pulls into a driveway in a residential area, marking the end of their travels (32:35).
