XD52264 “MIGHTY AFRICA” 1950s TRIP TO NORTH & CENTRAL AFRICA EGYPT, NIGERIA, SUDAN, CONGO PART 1

This untitled, silent color travelog dates to the mid-to-late 1950s and was taken by a Christian missionary traveling around Africa – likely working on healing leper colonies in Kenya and perhaps Gambia. The film begins in Egypt before going on to depict rural areas of Nigeria, South Sudan, the wild animals in the African Savanna, and perhaps tribes in Gambia and the Congo. Please note, the film contains graphic footage of the deformities and injuries of local people suffering from leprosy that some people might find disturbing.
