This film takes viewers on a brief tour through Rio de Janeiro, an expansive seaside city in Brazil hosting two famed beaches; the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Carnival is a festival held annually prior to Lent and is considered one of the largest in the world. The first began in 1723. One costumed guest wears a demon mask and toys with a plastic cigar (5:54). Other costumed guests play with umbrellas (6:32). The scene turns to evening and night festivities erupts around unique and colorful floats (8:17). Carnival continues night and day (9:00).
