One of a series of short films produced in 1969 by Charles Grinker and Mert Koplin, “Which Way USA — Black Views on Race” provided brief portraits of many African American leaders including Martin Luther King, Jim Brown, Malcolm X, Bobby Seale, and others. This episode features professional boxer Muhammad Ali, also known by his original name Cassius Clay. Ali is generally ranked as teh greatest heavyweight boxer of all time and was nicknamed the “GOAT” or “The Greatest”. In addition to his athletic achievements, Ali was an outspoken critic of the Vietnam War, an activist, entertainer, poet and philanthropist and one of the most enduring personalities of the 20th Century.
