XD36174 ” THE STORY BEHIND THE REMINGTON MODEL 1100 SHOTGUN ” 1960s HUNTING RIFLE PROMO FILM

This 1960s film advertises the Model-1100 shotgun and shows it in use for recreational water fowl hunting at following places (in order): Long Island Sound, James Bay, British Columbia, Lake Mattamuskeet, Sacramento Valley, Arkansas, Long Island Sound. The Remington 1100 shown a gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun introduced by Remington Arms in 1963, and the film probably dates from that time.

The Model 1100 was designed by Wayne Leek and Robert Kelley as a successor to the Model 58 and Model 878 gas operated shotguns. Over 4 million have been produced to this day.
