These TV commercials for Milton Bradley’s “Go Back” and “Pop Yer Top” games date to 1968. In “Pop Yer Top”, players try to move the Koo-Koo Bird without triggering him — otherwise the player must go back and start again. In “Go Back”, a game aimed at young children, players negotiate a colored mat, and occupy squares of various colors. If the caller names the color of square a contestant is on, they have to go back to start.
