This TV commercial for Rice Chex, Corn Chex and Wheat Chex cereals promotes the “secret agent kit”, parts of which came free in the various Chex cereals. It included a decoder ring, secret agent pen, and secret agent watch. Chex is a descendent of the 1930s “Shredded Ralston” cereal and was originally produced and owned by Ralston Purina of St. Louis, Missouri, starting in 1950 with the Rice Chex brand. Wheat Chex appeared in 1951, and Corn Chex debuted in 1959. It is currently manufactured by General Mills.
