In this 1970 episode of Discovery two narrators take you on a voyage aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2 aka QE2. She is a historic ocean liner that was launched in 1969. The ship departs from New York destined for South Hampton, England. You are guided into the bridge, safety control room and broiler room. The innerworkings of the ship are revealed and the captain, officers and other staff members are introduced. Passengers recreate on deck and enjoy the extensive amenities provided. (Note: Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) is now retired. The British ocean liner was converted into a floating hotel and since 2018 has been docked in Dubai).

Pan of the tug boats and harbor (14:28). A man throws rope overboard. The ship is turned around. Gang planks are put in place. Dressed up guests are greeted as they enter the captain’s reception.
