Beautifully shot, silent amateur home movie of the 77th annual Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. The parade took place on January 1, 1966, with Walt Disney serving as Grand Marshal and with the theme related to Disney’s “It’s a Small World”. (Note: tragically, Walt Disney would pass into the next world less than a year after this was filmed, on December 15, 1966.)

A baton twirler performs in a shiny silver outfit and white go-go boots. Various floats and marching bands go by. A man films one of the floats with a film camera, looks to be 16mm (4:24).
