XD14584 ” STAR SPANGLED CITY ” WASHINGTON D.C. TRAVELOGUE 1965 AMERICA! TV SHOW EPISODE PART 2 AMERICA!

This episode of the television show “America!” from 1965 (the second of a two part episode) showcases lesser known locations and attractions in the Washington D.C. area. Instead of concentrating on famous destinations like the White House or the Smithsonian, we’re shown places such as the U.S. Naval Observatory, the Folger Shakespeare Library, the embassy of Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), a goofy wax museum, supper clubs, and a playground where kids can climb on retired Army tanks and Air Force jets. Hosted and narrated by Robert Taylor, original music score by Nelson Riddle, written by Jack Douglas, produced by Tom McHugh, a Jack Douglas Camera Cade, produced 1965 by the Jack Douglas Company, Inc.
