This color educational/promotional film is about the IBM System/36 (S/36), IBM announced its System/36 on May 16, 1983, to combine data processing, word processing, business color graphics and office management functions in a low-cost, easy to use computer for first time and experienced users. It was designed for work in a normal office. It was a multi-tasking successor to the S/34. This was made in 1984.

X-rays are being reviewed inside the building. A doctor talks to a patient. A radiologist, Dr. Phillips, in Georgia discusses his use of the System 36. He talks with his office administrator. The administrator reviews the records on the computer. She then shares her thoughts on the new S/36. The administrator then talks with a patient. S/36 computer screen. A printer prints out bills and forms. The radiologist works with a patient. Dr. Phillips walks and discusses the IBM System 3/36 and shows the boxes it came in. Fingers type keys.
