There are two color promotional films about the new Chevy products. Both were made in 1978 for the new 1979 Chevy Camaro And 1979 Chevy Chevette.

Title: REASONS TO BUY 1979 CAMARO (:08-17). 4 new 1979 Chevy Camaros go down the road side by side. 4 ways to go Camaro: the Sport Coup, Rally Sport, Z-28, and the new Berlinetta. Interior of the car while a driver steers it. See the suspension under the car and shots of springs. See the power steering and the radial tires along with the front and rear brakes. 2 different engines to choose from (:18-1:45). The trunk is shown and then an animated view of the car in pieces. How the car is made along with special coatings put on the car are shown. Shots of each one of the models on the road. The Rally Sport weaves in and out of traffic cones. Z-28 is shown in detail inside and outside. Shots of the new Berlinetta. See it inside and out. A woman gets into the driver’s seat. The Berlinetta drives away. An animated diagram shows the special features of the car (1:46-4:14). A sexy woman goes over to a Camaro and pulls apart the T-roof. Am/FM radio/CB combo, antenna, rear defogger. A Camaro sits with the doors open ready for a driver (4:15-4:55).

Title: REASONS TO BUY 1979 CHEVETTE (5:14-5:23). The Chevy Chevette is shown. It has a low base price. Features shown: carpeting, color instrument panel, standard sport steering wheel, floor mounted console, AM radios, reclining bucket seats, on the 2 door model – a swingout rear window, bumper rubber strips, and radial tires. The Chevette is driving down the road in different colors (5:23-6:50).

The car drives down a highway. The car drives past a gas station. A list of the long recommended maintenance intervals is shown. The Chevette is shown, without its hood, going through a carwash. A close on the engine. The car’s manual shown up close (6:51-7:39). The Chevette is shown being painted and constructed on the assembly line. Men pour balls and water into buckets and place them on the wheels and on the front seat to show how smooth it moves. The car performs a U-turn to shown maneuverability (7:40-8:46). Inside the 4 door Chevette is shown. Cargo space is available. A woman seat belts herself in either manually or the automatic shoulderbelt system. Comfort tilt steering wheel, AM/FM radio. A 3 speed automatic transmission. The car weaves between traffic cones to show stability

(8:47-9:49). The Chevette is shown stationary. The trunk being filled. Pasing a gas station. And on the highway. More footage of the car being placed together in the factory. A Chevette sits with the doors open ready for a driver (9:50-10:13). End title disclaimer (10:14-10:20).
