This color educational/promotional film is about how the 1974 Dodge Monaco and Plymouth Fury are better than a Chevy Impala or a Ford Galaxie 500. This was made in 1973.

Title: Chrysler Motors Corporation (:12-21). 4 cars drive along a road in a desert region. Title: Monaco and Fury vs Impala and Galaxie (:22-:38). Cars drive side by side then one drives alone. Introducing the 1974 Dodge Monaco and Plymouth Fury. The Chevy Impala and the Ford Galaxie are fast behind. Chrysler offers a longer wheel base, then from inside we get a pov shot of driving forward. Close on the bumpers that are integrated into the car unlike the Impala or Galaxie (:39-2:04).

A mechanic welds. Another puts pieces together. The windows are shown from many angles. The Impala and Galaxie back windows are shown. A man approaches the Plymouth’s grill and touches them followed by the Impala and Galaxie. Inside the trunk. A man opens the gas cap (2:04-3:47). A Plymouth Fury tows a trailer. It then tows a boat. Under the hood we see the electronic ignition. Close on an electronic ignition. A chart shows ignition system recommended maintenance and cost comparison at 36,000 miles for the Dodge/Plymouth, Ford and the Chevy. Chrysler has a coolant overflow bottle, Ford doesn’t. Electronic voltage regulator – mechanical vs electronic are shown. A man enters the Plymouth Fury (3:48-5:40). Dashboard with a man’s foot on the gas pedal. The man opens a coin holder which comes from below the dash. A hand adjusts the air flow. Ash tray below the radio. The Ford Galaxie ash try is opened and has sharp edges. The AC unit of the Plymouth Fury is shown. A hand adjusts the vents. Pushes the AC on. Diagram shows upper level ventilation system. Vent window is opened. A man removes the face of the instrument panel. A hand replaces the fuse. A person reaches under the panel to look for a fuse. A man adjusts his seat (5:41-7:29). A man sits in the drivers seat and rubs an armrest and pulls it down. Close on a steering wheel. The gas gauge, the alternator gauge, a clock built into the dashboard. A man sits in a car (7:30-8:15). A 1974 Plymouth Fury starts driving surrounded by the Chevy and Ford. Hands on a steering wheel. 2 cars drive side by side. Torsion bar suspension system. Diagram explains what it added to the 1974 models. 2 cars drive off side by side. The 1974 Dodge Monaco and Plymouth Fury drive down a street (8:16-9:32). End disclaimer (9:33-9:43).
