This color promotional film is a short film extolling the attractions of London. It was produced & directed by John Durst and is a 1963 production.

Opening title: The British Travel Association presents SONG OF LONDON over various interior airport shots with people walking and resting, going to buses (:08-1:25). People exit a car and head into a hotel. Aerial shots of London. Tourists walk around Trafalgar Square in Central London (1:26-2:33). Tommy Trinder sings in London, camera stays on him for most of his sequence. Trafalgar Square footage (2:34-4:02). Band marches, tourists watch. Statues. Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus. Statue of Eros (4:03-5:06). ‘New’ London with the tall buildings. Double decker buses. Cathedrals. Children run through an apartment yard. Westminster Abbey. Scotland Yard. Old Father Thames and the Tower of London (5:07-6:43). Buildings in London. Tourists leave a hotel. Inside a department store. Tourists look at the merchandise (pots/pans, clothes, jewelry, silver). Children on the street. Tourists walk by shops (6:44-8:50) People go to a grocery store, peruse the merchandise. Chefs make food at the Mayflower hotel. A host seats a couple at the restaurant. Another couple watches food made in front of them (8:51-11:06). Couples eat lunch by the Riverside at the River Thames. Boats sail. Skipper Bob Roberts, a barge skipper, sings to some children on the dock with LOndon Bridge in the background (11:07-13:09). Waterbuses take people down the Thames. See London from these boats. Big Ben. The boat drifts down the river seeing more of London. The boat goes under London Bridge. Merchant ships and Tea Clippers (13:10-15:17). Stand on the historic Prime Meridian of the World at Royal Observatory Greenwich. Kensington Palace. See what Londoners wore down the ages. Queen Elizabeth I statue. Old London is recreated when the Thames froze and frost fell (15:18-16:32). The world’s first regular television service studio. A woman sings (16:33-18:10). Exterior shots of people walking in a London park. A man rows on a lake in a park. People swim and relax on a beach. Statues. People catch rays in the sun in a park. Lots of leaves fall from a tree as it is now fall. Boys look at acorns. People ride horses. Doves and birds fly over a pond. Snow has come as it is Winter. People sled (18:11-20:09). London pub. Barmaids. People drink at the pub. Palladium. Lights go on, the curtain rises, a show is happening at the Palladium. Men dance, showgirls move (20:10-22:02). London at night, the bustling streets, the buses, people on the move. Many signs light up the sides of buildings. Soho. People await her majesty the Queen. The Queen arrives (22:03-23:01). London’s west end. Watermans arms down near the docks. People watch a woman sing, throw darts, talk and drink. Closeups of happy people drinking. Exterior shots of people on the streets at night (23:02-25:00). Cabaret Club sign. Savoy. Society Restaurant. People sit and watch a lounge singer. She sings to the camera. Upside down shot of an image in a wine glass (25:01-26:25). Trees. Buildings. Barkley Square. A couple walk hand in hand down a nighttime street. Big Ben at night. Fireworks light up the night sky. Aerial shots at night, follow the cars through their headlights (26:25-28:38). End credits (28:39-28:54)
