People exit a car and head into a hotel. Aerial shots of London. Tourists walk around Trafalgar Square in Central London (1:26-2:33). Tommy Trinder sings in London, camera stays on him for most of his sequence. Trafalgar Square footage (2:34-4:02). Band marches, tourists watch. Statues. Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus. Statue of Eros (4:03-5:06). ‘New’ London with the tall buildings. Double decker buses. Cathedrals. Children run through an apartment yard. Westminster Abbey. Scotland Yard. Old Father Thames and the Tower of London (5:07-6:43). Buildings in London. Tourists leave a hotel. Inside a department store. Tourists look at the merchandise (pots/pans, clothes, jewelry, silver). Stand on the historic Prime Meridian of the World at Royal Observatory Greenwich. Kensington Palace. See what Londoners wore down the ages. Queen Elizabeth I statue. London at night, the bustling streets, the buses, people on the move. Many signs light up the sides of buildings. Soho. People await her majesty the Queen. The Queen arrives (22:03-23:01). London’s west end. Watermans arms down near the docks. People watch a woman sing, throw darts, talk and drink. Closeups of happy people drinking.
