“Road To The Stars Rocketdyne History Of Rocketry”, Eastman Color, Red Fade, opens w animation, “Road To The Stars”
“Presented by Rocketdyne, a Division of North American Aviation Inc., with the belief that in this era of technical achievement, the people of the free world should fully understand the rocket… its past… its present and its potential.”
” With the aid of an interesting film called “Road to the Stars,” Mr. Jolicoeur traced rocket development from its inception in China about 700 years ago through the German V-2 up to its present state as used in the I.C.B.M. and the satellite boosters. He then proceeded to a discussion of the future course of rocket development, from extremely high energy propellants to the nuclear rocket and the ion engine. He pointed out that the various types of engines each has distinct applications in the space program. Their theoretical performance concepts are already known, but their rates of development obviously are dependent upon how much money and effort are applied”
