The Energy Crunch: The Bottom of the Oil Barrel 1973 BBC documentary, one of several in the “Energy Crunch” series. This one looks at the history of the oil industry and the gas crunch, which affected western nations in the early 1970s. Mostly standard type of montage footage of Drake’s well, oil refineries, petroleum production, etc. with some novel short segments on the future of energy, including what appears to be an electric car sports car (probably a Bradley GT or Bradley GTE) that uses Die Hard batteries, and a cab that runs on propane. Eastman color, 1/2 hour.
