Plot: Stephanie’s parents are away for the weekend, and she has invited friends for a party. Before the party, Stephanie and Melanie talk about taking away car keys and having friends stay overnight if they drink too much. However, Steve gets drunk and refuses to stay. Two other friends join Steve while one refuses. Steve has great difficulty concentrating on

driving and when a girl walking a dog steps out in front of him, he swerves so violently that the car goes off the road and rolls over. Two of the young people are killed and one is confined to a wheelchair for life. Stephanie’s parents are sued, as

well as Steve’s father, and Steve has great difficulty over the next months coping with what happened.

Review: This well-produced film has a lot of information about the whole area of drinking and driving. It has emotional impact and could lead to good discussion about the practical difficulties related to drinking and driving.
