The Benchmarks consist of Twenty-Four operations, three operations on each of eight reels, designed as A through X inclusive. Films must be projected at exactly 960 frames per minute. Silent film teaches basics of the time management rating process, and shows some sample activities recorded with time study cameras including for example, movement of marbles into a box. It was created by The Society for the Advancement of Management, commonly known as SAM, which is the oldest among professional management societies.
