This silent 16mm home movie shows the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. The date is unknown but probably 1955 based on the presence of the XF-92A airplane float seen at 5:11, and the fact that Ohio State had a float in the parade (seen at 1:01). The 1955 Rose Bowl was played between Ohio State and the University of Southern California. Some of the other notable floats include one for Treasure Tone Paints (1:08), Holland (1:12), San Pedro (2:15), Minute Maid Orange Juice (2:18), Inglewood (2:50), the City of St. Louis, South Gate (3:30), Fletcher Aviation Foundation (3:46), San Francisco (3:54), Post Cereals (3:57), Hawthorne (5:55), and the Odd Fellows. The film does not show the Rose Bowl game but does have a rodeo shown at 12:00 complete with bucking broncos. It also has images of a river choked with logs destined for a sawmill (10:52) and waterfalls (9:25).
