This 1950 Coronet educational film “Cuba: Land and People” introduces viewers to Cuba through the form of a bus journey across the Island from Santiago to Havana. It shows natural beauty in the eastern part, vast agricultural resources in the central part, and culture and tobacco in the western part of the island. The pre-revolutionary film continuously stresses the importance of Cuba to the United States and how most of Cuba’s exports end up in the USA.
