This is a 1970’s era color movie produced by Chevrolet features famed stuntman Evel Knievel plugging Chevy auto parts. Knievel narrates the film and talks about his frame of mind, his method, and his idea of challenge. He also speaks directly about conflict: “Organized conflict, natural conflict, and individual conflict. Also the fantasy kind… the kind that’s all for fun, and never really happens.” The movie opens with Knievel relaxing in a hammock. He speaks to the camera. Woman appears in a bikini on the hammock and walks up to him. She exits. He walks over to two pictures; one of a cheetah the other of fish and talks about conflict in nature 1:22. The cheetah is seen in the wild running at 65 miles an hour 1:15. The American Buffalo roams the plains 1:45. Buffaloes in battle 2:30. In the dark, undersea world we see strange fish 3:45. Two jaw fish build nests of rock and shells near one another 4:00. A crab buries itself in the sand as a triggerfish watches him closely 4:30. The triggerfish blows waterspouts onto the crab’s hiding place until he is uncovered; a fight ensues but the crab escapes 5:37. An octopus comes along and the crab is quickly captured for a meal 6:00. The triggerfish tries to get in on the action 6:20. A great white shark hunts the ocean floor 6:45. A large manta ray is seen 7:40. The shark circles 7:50. A man with a spear gun appears 8:00. Evel Knievel speaks to the camera 8:45. In a comedic clip, a man is seen hitting another man on the head, driving him into the ground with a sledgehammer 8:55. Evel Knievel talks briefly about Chevrolet auto-parts being the best 9:10. Knievel boards his motorcycle and dons his signature American themed helmet 9:18. Knievel jumping automobiles off a ramp on his motorcycle 9:34. Different clips and footage of Knievel jumping cars on his motorcycle 10:05. Knievel makes practice runs towards the ramp before performing his stunts 10:55. Knievel makes a successful jump 11:25. Knievel makes a huge jump and a parachute deploys from the back of his bike 12:15. Knievel pops a wheelie for the crowd 12:50. Evel has a nasty wipeout trying to make a landing after a jump 13:50. Knievel has been injured seven times performing his stunts 14:00. Knievel makes a successful jump 14:50. Knievel jumps 17 cars in Los Angeles at Ascot Park 15:20. Footage of the crowds and Knievel getting ready for another stunt 16:00. Knievel makes another successful jump 16:12. Produced for Chevrolet. As the film ends, the man in the comedic film walks away from the man with the sledgehammer and we see that there is an actual spike behind where the man was standing and it just appeared that he was being hit on the head. The End.

Robert Craig Knievel, professionally known as Evel Knievel, was an American stunt performer and entertainer. Over the course of his career, he attempted more than 75 ramp-to-ramp motorcycle jumps. Knievel was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1999.
