The movie starts with a discussion on Simón Bolívar who fought for the freedom of Spanish colonies in Latin America. Bolivia is named in honor of him. The purpose of this film is to show how Venezuela is embracing oil production and partnering with American companies and other global corporations to make oil more accessible to the world through partnership with Standard Oil Company and Venezuela more productive in the process. It is bordered to the north and east by Brazil, to the southeast by Paraguay, to the south by Argentina, to the southwest by Chile, and to the northwest by Peru. Simón José Antonio de la Santísima Trinidad Bolívar y Palacios Ponte-Andrade y Blanco (24 July 1783 – 17 December 1830), generally known as Simón Bolívar and also colloquially as El Libertador, or the Liberator, was a Venezuelan military and political leader who led what are currently the state of Venezuela, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Panama to independence from the Spanish Empire
