92234 1967 TOUR OF PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA BEIJING TO SHANGHAI (PART 2 of 3)

This is the third part of a three-part documentary about People’s Republic of China, filmed in 1967 by Swedish filmmaker Bo Gaertze, and released by a number of companies (this is a German version released by the FWU). Here, the journey continues from Beijing to Shanghai, along the Grand Canal, by the city of Wuhan, through the village of Jiawu in Zhejiang province, a short glimpse of the city of Wuxi, with an examination of the issues related to agricultural modernization and an examination of Shanghai’s industry. The footage gives an outlook of the real wages of the Chinese workers of the time and their working conditions.
