This reel of silent 16mm home movies (which actually begins at :52 seconds) starts out with a beautiful wedding which, judging from the clothes and the car (a suicide door equipped sedan) probably took place in the late 1930s or early 1940s. At 1:36 the bride arrives at church and poses with her father on the way in. At 1:49 she and the happy groom are doused with rice and at 1:58 you’ll see a great shot from inside the wedding sedan as the bride boards. This is followed by a parade of groomsmen and bridesmaids, all in formal clothes of the era. At 3:15 the film resumes with a parade of men in tuxedos boarding a sedan. At 3:43 a young girl looks pensively into the camera’s lens (wonderful shot!) At 3:57, another bride descends the stairs of a modest home and heads towards a car, arriving at church at 4:14. At 5:00 there are shots inside the beautiful church of the ceremony, albeit a bit dark owing to the lighting conditions. At 6:00 there is a scrum of people outside the church as the happy couple comes out — and is pelted with rice. At 6:29 the wedding car leaves the scene, draped with toilet paper. At 6:50 the happy family waves goodbye.

At 7:00, a young child — probably progeny of one of the two couples we saw earlier — is shown being fed. At 8:13, baby is busy crawling and tasting things with her mouth. At 10:26 the family dog is shown, and at 10:33 baby says hello to a friend. At 11:54 mommy coos to baby on the bed. The very end of the film at 14:30 contains early color footage of baby, who seems to be having a very merry time sucking on her finger.
