A windmill turns in the breeze (2:21-3:49). Svendborg is a town on the island of Funen in south-central Denmark. Sea port, boats in port. People pick tulips. Others hoe the ground. Gothic church in Odense, the third-largest city in Denmark and the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen. Shops in the town. Andersen’s home is a museum (3:50-5:01). Jutland is a large peninsula that contains the mainland regions of Denmark. It separates the North and Baltic seas, and borders Germany to the south. Ribe, Denmark. A pelican on a chimney. Small little houses. A man works on a roof. A woman looks outside of her home. Town of Tonder. A woman sews a picture (6:45-8:21). A woman crates eggs in a co-op. Eggs in a sorting machine. Women pull eggs and place them into separate boxes. Men move barrels of butter. A woman on a farm takes delivery of milk from a horse drawn carriage. A little girl. A farm family. A man pours milk into a jug. A woman pours milk for a cat (8:22-10:16) and the cats drink from a saucer. Den Gamle By in Aarhus in Denmark is a large family-friendly open-air museum with typical historic old town buildings from the 1700s. People walk around. Rosenholm Castle is Denmark’s oldest family-owned castle, and is one of the best-preserved complexes from the golden age of the manor house – from 1550 to 1630. Rosenholm Castle was founded in 1559 by the Danish nobleman Jørgen “George” Rosenkrantz. His family is among the oldest and most famous in Danish history. A market village. A man walks with cattle.
