Cars drive by. The main street is Duke of Gloucester Street. A grocery store in an old colonial mansion. Signs look like they did when Britain ruled. Dr. Blair’s apothecary is a museum. Courthouse and a jail. A modern library (1:16-3:08). The old courthouse is an archive building. At (3:15) the original powder magazine from the Revolutionary War era. Bruton Parish Church is he oldest Episcopal church in America. George Wythe House, home of first professor of law in America. In 1716, first theater in new world. Manicured lawns and scrubs, grass cut, nice homes, a woman walks around Williamsburg (3:09-4:43). Raleigh Tavern is a reproduction as the original burned down. Sign for the tavern. Bust of Sir Raleigh. The Colonial Capital, women are dressed in style and called hostesses who guide people (4:44-6:04). The Union Jack still flies at the Capitol. The building is a silent monument to its glorious past. Governor’s Palace along with it’s palace green. Exterior of the palace. People walk towards it. Statues outside and at its gates (6:05-7:39). Hostesses bring people to see the parts of the building. Artificial lake on the grounds. People walk the grounds. The garden in the palace. The landscape of the gardens are reproductions of the originals. Trees on the grounds (7:40-9:34). A woman walks the grounds. The Governor’s palace (9:35-10:24). End credits (10:25-10:31).
