The Battle of Corregidor, May 5-6, 1942, was the Japanese conquest of the Philippines. Japanese soldiers climb a ladder, use a flamethrower. Outnumbered, General Wainwright and his men surrender to japanese forces (4:02-6:20). General Doolittle leads a raid to Tokyo, Japan. The planes are ready to go and the ship sails towards Japan. Plane takes off and heads for Tokyo. Sixteen B-25B Mitchell Medium Bombers were launched from the Navy’s USS Hornet deep in the Western Pacific Ocean. Title: Bismarck Sea Battle. U.S. and Australian planes take off to intercept a Japanese convoy. Battle of the Bismarck Sea.
