The film shows Buckingham Palace and the changing of the guard in London, England. Queen Elizabeth II is seen at the 3 minute mark departing Whitehall Chapel. At the 3 minute mark the Archbishop of Canterbury is seen at St. Paul’s Cathedral for The Corporation of the Sons of the Clergy. The Royal Hospital, Chelsea is shown at the 4 minute mark, and the Queen is seen again participating in a ceremony there. Activities at the Horse Guards Parade are seen at the 5:30 mark. Horse Guards Parade is a large parade ground off Whitehall in central London, the site of the annual ceremonies of Trooping the Colour, which commemorates the monarch’s official birthday, and Beating Retreat. Here again the Queen is seen surveying the scene.
Prince Charles, born in 1948, appears briefly in the film in a carriage. He was only 3 years old at the time this was shot.
