This silent German educational film from the 1930s shows the manufacture of steel railroad rails in a foundry and blast furnace. Starting with a large steel ingot, the steel goes through a series of rollers before emerging in the proper shape. This is a companion to another film, that shows the manufacture of the ingot (see our other films in this playlist).
