One of a series of German silent educational films made for use in schools, this charming film presents a family who lives near the North Sea and who work as fishermen. The family’s idyllic life is presented, with the children assisting parents in making the trip to the fishing grounds and helping with the catch. The family also raises farm animals including goats. At about the 12 minute mark young people are seen aboard a motorized fishing boat assisting with the catch.
