Funded by Northrop Grumman for the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, “Air Show” features a wide range of aircraft from WWI Sopwith Pups and German Triplanes, to F-4 Phantoms and supersonic F-105 Thunderchiefs. Also featured is a “Japanese Zero” (probably a modified T-6 from the “Tora Tora Tora” production), a skydiving and barnstorming demonstration, manned kite flying, and fighter aircraft including a P-51 Mustang, P-38 Lightning, Me-109 Messerschmidt, the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, Navy Blue Angels, the Canadian Red Arrows, Bob Hoover’s famous Old Yeller, and more.
