74482 RANCH LIFE IN 1930s MEXICO GERMAN SILENT EDUCATIONAL FILM

This 1930s German educational film features life on a large cattle ranch in northern Mexico, possibly Sonora or Chihuahua — although at the 10 minute mark a large mountain peak is shown so perhaps this ranch was located in the South. Irrigation ditches are shown being dug and crops planted and harvested using primitive implements and ox-drawn plows. Mexican cowboys are also shown. At the end of the movie are images of a “Deutsche Schule”, a German school possibly the Guadalajara branch of the famed Humboldt school. The Humbolt and other German schools in Mexico represented a form of diplomacy for the German state, and also supported German nationals in Mexico, and included a kindergarten and elementary school. However Mexico’s entry into the war in 1942 forced closure of the institution.

Esta película educativa alemana de 1930 cuenta con la vida en un rancho de ganado mayor en el norte de México , posiblemente Sonora o Chihuahua – aunque en el minuto 10 se muestra un pico de montaña grande así que quizás este rancho se encuentra en el Sur. Acequias se muestran siendo excavados y cultivos sembrados y cosechados utilizando instrumentos primitivos y arados tirados por bueyes . También se muestran los vaqueros mexicanos . Al final de la película son imágenes de un ” Deutsche Schule ” , una escuela alemana , posiblemente, la rama de Guadalajara de la escuela Humboldt famoso . El Humbolt y otras escuelas alemanas en México representaban una forma de diplomacia para el Estado alemán, y también apoyaron los ciudadanos alemanes en México , y se incluyen un jardín de infantes y escuela primaria. Sin embargo el ingreso de México a la guerra en 1942 el cierre de la institución obligada .
