Created in the 1950s, “Contest Jitters” was one of the Castle Film travelogues featuring novelty sports, with a focus on women throughout. With condescending narration throughout — You’ll see Dolphin basketball at Marineland Studios, deep sea fishing, women performing martial arts, the Miss America contest, women doing rodeo, and more. There’s also novelty sports including a skating chimp, lumberjack tree climbing, a bald head contest, and so on. The film ends with a mud bath treatment for women in swimsuits, and a cleavage heavy look at the Miss World beauty pageant in Atlantic City.
