72692 HIGH SPEED PHOTOGRAPHY & CAMERAS IN THE SPACE PROGRAM

Produced and directed by Jerry Hill, this fascinating industrial film shows the use of specialized cameras in the space and missile development program. The film shows footage shot with high speed, slow motion cameras, as well as with lenses developed to overcome the great distance and speeds presented by missile and rocket launches. Shots are shown from a Roti camera, which features a 24 inch telescope with a 500 inch focal length capable of using 35 or 70mm film. Footage is shown from various space and missile programs including Titan, Atlas, Ranger, Project Mercury, and more. Both the Vandenburg Air Force Base’s Pacific Missile Range and the Cape Kennedy facility are shown.
