Opening (no credits): A Transcontinental jumbo jet lands in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The plane taxis on the runway. People disembark the plane. People walk, cars go by in Buenos Aires. A plane flies in the sky. Mountains, a lake. Snow peaked Andes Mountains. The town is Bariloche, It borders Nahuel Huapi, a large glacial lake surrounded by the Andes Mountains (:11-2:14). Bariloche, a population of nearly 18,000. Nahuel Huapi lake with choppy waves. Hotel Correntoso, located on a hill near the lake. People and animals walk near it on a dirt road. Flowing river. A fresh spring snow across the Andes Mountains. People fish for trout in Nahuel Huapi lake. A man does fly fishing in the water. A man pulls up on his fishing rod, then drags a fish onto the banks of the lake. It is a Rainbow Trout that he proudly shows off close up. The man is back in the water with his line in the water. Another man reels in a fish, it is another Rainbow Trout. He drags it on to the banks. The trout is shown off and then released. Two large trout are shown to the viewer. Two more large trout are paraded for the camera (2:15-6:48). A man from Buenos Aires has a fish caught on his line but it takes him a while to reel it in. Another man uses a fishing net and scoops up the huge Brown Trout. The trout is shown to the camera (6:49-8:13). A boat sails on the lake. Hotel Correntoso on the banks of the lake. A woman fishes from the boat. Another holds a fishing net. A Rainbow Trout is caught in a fishing net. A woman holds her fishing rod. Another Rainbow is scooped up (8:14-9:20). Aerial shot of San Martín de los Andes, a town in northwest Patagonia, Argentina. Mountain shots around the town. A tourist lodge. Men and women sit near a pool at a motel. A man puts ice into glasses and readies to pour some whisky, Seagrams V.O. The whisky is poured. A man offers the drinks to the group. Tackle for the fish. Men and women load up their vehicle. Cattle grazing. A gaucho rounds up the cattle. Gauchos wear ponchos and ride horses (9:21-12:32). Fast water stream from off a hillside. A lake near the snow capped Andes. An angler started doing fly fishing in a fast moving lake. He pulls up a fish. He holds a trout. A Rainbow Trout is held up for all to see, quite a large fish. Men sit and eat. Men row a boat on the lake. Two men sit in a boat and fish from it (12:33-15:15). Two men fish from their small boat. One man’s line keeps shaking as he reels in the line. A trout is scooped up near the boat in a fishing net. The fisherman holds up the trout, it still shakes as it dies. On shore, two men hold up large trout as another man stands between them (15:16-17:06). Plane in the air heads for Uruguay. Montevideo, Uruguay beach. Coast of Uruguay. Coastline from Montevideo to the Brazilian border. Three men get into a boat and get onto the Uruguay River. A man reels in a huge catfish from the banks of the roaring river. The river is between Uruguay and Argentina. Men sit in a small boat near “the big falls.” Men fish from the boat near these falls. The man starts to reel in a Dorado fish, it jumps from the river. He continues trying to get it. It comes to the surface but he still can’t get it (17:07-21:10). Three men in the boat have been battling the fish for a while. One of the men finally grabs and hits a Dorado, it’s a big one. The men bring the fish back to shore. A hefty 16 lb. Dorado with sharp teeth. People head for a Transcontinental jumbo jet (21:11-23:17). Film ends, no end credits.
