This color educational film is about tires, what is in them and how to use them best and brought to you by Dupont. It was shot in Pennsylvania, USA. No copyright, but this is circa 1968.

Opening titles: Dupont…First in Fibers for Tire Cord. An old model car like a Model T drives in the 1920s down a country road. A flat tire causes the car to stop and a man pumps the tire with air while the woman waits. The car is back on the road. Title: FACTS ABOUT TIRES (:08-1:19). A woman rides a horse. The horse nears the road the driver slams on his brakes. A Ford Thunderbird drives fast over bumpy roads. Its front passenger tire hits a pothole, splashing water upwards onto the lens. A flat cause the car to stop. The man exits and shakes his head (1:20-2:09). A salesman brings in the guy who’s car just got a flat. The two discuss the difference in tires. A TWA 727 jumbo jet comes in for a landing on an airstrip. It slows down on the runway. Heat hurts a tire most. Racing cars race around a track. Heat is very bad for a tire, 200 to 260 degrees is bad for a tire. Tread depth is measured with the end of a penny coin. Tread wear (2:10-4:48). What tires are made of is explained and shown. The tire cord. Cord is thoroughly coated for good adhesion. Tire ply. A man works on the tire ply (4:49-6:34). A machine assists with the tire blank. How to mold a tire is shown, heat causes the chemicals in the tire to set. The worker has a finished tire (6:35-8:20). A tire is tested in the lab. At 60mph the tire tread is 220 degrees, at 70 its 240, at 90 its 270. Tests performed on the tires. The salesman looks over the car with the guy who had a flat. Shown driving on the road, the steering wheel is jerky. The salesman talks with the guy. He hands him a brochure which explains tire maintenance. A worker checks the wheel rims on a tire he’s replacing. Tires are balanced (8:21-12:09). The mechanic checks the tire. A wheel out of alignment can wear out a tire much faster. A young woman drives her car down the street and pulls into a parking spot. She hits the curb and weakens the tire without knowing. Later on her tire is busted. Air pressure machine. A boy puts air in his car’s tire. Over inflation of tires is bad as is under inflation.Proper inflation is always the goal (12:10-14:18). An elderly woman drives her car to a church. A man drives fast on the turnpike. On the highway he goes. Close on the tires (14:19-15:12). A tire turns in a junkyard. Littered crashed and damaged cars in a junkyard (15:13-15:40). End credits (15:41-16:03).
