Industry on Parade was a short television program that aired in the U.S. from1950-1960. It was produced by the National Association of Manufacturers. The series demonstrated complicated industrial processes that transformed raw materials into finished products. Industry On Parade Georgia is one of those black and white, public service, industrial films, probably produced in the mid 1950’s. Narrators used were Bob Wilson, Peter Roberts, and Radcliffe Hall. It was produced by Arthur Lodge Production, Inc. In 1953, Arthur Lodge formed his company and began producing his educational films. He wrote and produced more than 500 episodes for Industry On Parade.

Nut cracker for small nuts (6:30-6:35). Cleaning discolored and defective nuts out by using a conveyor belt (6:53-7:14). Cleaned walnut meats (7:15-7:19). Louisiana Valentine Pulp and Paper Company (7:20-7:24). Bale bagasse / sugar cane stalks (7:24-7:46). Bale chopper (7:47-8:04). Bleached bagasse fibers called slurry (8:14-8:32). Matted together fibers in a continuous sheet of paper (8:45-8:53). Rolls of paper (9:04-9:14). Pennsylvania (9:55-9:56). Boys sledding on snow (9:58-10:05). S. L. Allen & Co. – snow sleds (10:06-10:11). A sled “Flexible Flyer” 1886 – originally purchased by W.U. Hensel, Esq. (10:15-10:26). A press for sled runners (10:41-10:49). Sled in the making (11:11-11:28). 2 ½ horse power miniature tractor (11:33-12:05). Hand seeders (12:07-12:16). Making skis (12:23-12:42). Pressing the boards (12:43-13:03).
