This 1950s film shows how a blind woman named Evelyn is able to efficiently maintain her apartment, cooking, cleaning and performing other tasks. At 4:50 she is seen vacuuming and tidying up, and at 5:00 putting on lipstick. At 5:20 she teaches English and at 5:30 types at a typewriter. At 5:40 she is seen with her guide dog. At 5:50 the film crew including motion picture camera is seen shooting in her house as she prepares dinner. The film was written by Max Arman, narrated by John Daly, and directed by Don Zimmerman, all of whom are seen on screen at one point or another. The film was made by the American Foundation for the Blind and the Industrial Home for the Blind as part of the “Men Toward the Light” series.
