Produced by Lockheed as part of the F.A.A. Qualification for the L1011 aircraft, this film shows evacuation system tests conducted with human subjects. At the start the full interior cabin of the aircraft is shown, followed by the deployment of the rescue slide from the aircraft front door. Each test subject wears a number so that their position in the aircraft can be identified. At 2:00, interior footage of the exit is shown. A large clock in the upper right hand corner shows time elapsed to evacuate the entire plane. At 5:49 the left door is shown in similar fashion and at 11:29, color footage shows the No. 2 right door.
The aircraft used for the tests was an Eastern Airlines L1011.
