The program’s editors cut film to fit the news broadcast (11:18). Staff artists draw illustrations to complement the footage for the broadcast. A courier arrives on a motorcycle to pick up film of the anti-war protest and take it back to the news station (17:51). Scripts for the newscast are copied onto teleprompter rolls. Roger Grimsby walks into the studio for the broadcast of the evening news. Grimsby sits at the broadcast table with Bill Beutel. In the studio, staff and crew prepare for the broadcast. The producer directs what shots to show on television. The segment shows footage of the anti-war demonstration, as police—some mounted—clash with protestors.
